On March 26, 2000, Austrian, Lauda Air and Austrian arrows have joined the Star Alliance network, the largest airline alliance in the world, to offer you even better flight connections and more comfortable travel. Founded in 1997, the global alliance includes 21 renowned airlines serving 975 destinations in almost 162 countries around the world. With more than 18,100 daily flights operated (one aircraft taking off every five seconds), there are plenty of alternatives to choose from.
Youngest member of Star Alliance is EgyptAir (since July 2008). To present you the large Star Alliance network, every year another country is in the centre of special actions and promotions. This year it's a whole region: Southern Africa.
